Privacy notice
This page explains what personal data is collected through this website and through email I send, why it is held, and how to have it removed.
Who is responsible
Korf Digital is the trading name of Anton Tymchuk, an independent sole trader, who is the data controller for the purposes of this notice. Contact: hello@korfdigital.online.
What is collected
- If you write to me: your name, email address, and whatever you choose to put in the message.
- If you request a website review: the website address you submit and your email address, plus the technical results of checks run against that public website.
- If I write to you first: a business email address, company name and website, collected from publicly available sources such as the company's own website or public business directories.
- Server logs: IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser user agent, kept for security and abuse prevention.
No advertising or analytics trackers are used on this website, and no cookies are set for tracking purposes.
Why it is held, and on what basis
- Answering your enquiry - to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or on the basis of legitimate interest in responding to correspondence.
- Website reviews you request - on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Business-to-business contact by email - on the basis of legitimate interest in offering relevant professional services to businesses that visibly advertise online. Only business contact details are used, never data about consumers, and every message identifies who I am and how to stop further contact.
- Server logs - legitimate interest in keeping the site available and free of abuse.
How long it is kept
- Correspondence and enquiries: up to 24 months after the last message, unless we work together, in which case business records are kept as long as required for accounting purposes.
- Website review results: up to 12 months, so a repeated request does not have to be re-run from scratch.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
- Opt-out records: kept indefinitely, because that is the only way to guarantee you are not contacted again.
Who else sees it
Data is not sold, rented or shared for anyone else's marketing. Limited technical processors are used to operate the service: a hosting provider for the server, an email provider to send and receive mail, and third-party measurement APIs which receive only the public website address being checked, never your personal details.
The server is located in Germany. I work remotely, so data may be accessed from outside the European Economic Area.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, EEA or UK you have the right to access a copy of your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how it is used, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent where consent was the basis. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email hello@korfdigital.online. No particular wording is needed and there is no charge.
Stopping email contact
Reply STOP to any message from me and your address is removed from all outgoing contact immediately and permanently. You do not need to give a reason.
